Horicon Marsh State Wildlife Area
Horicon Marsh is the largest freshwater cattail marsh in the United States. Located in southeast Wisconsin, this vast wetland is only one hour drive from Milwaukee and Madison. While this marsh in renown for its migrant flocks of Canada geese, it is also home to more than 260 kinds of birds which have been sighted over the years. Due to its importance to wildlife, Horicon Marsh has been designated as a ?Wetland of International Importance? and a ?Globally Important Bird Area.? Horicon Marsh is both a state wildlife area and national wildlife refuge. Different opportunities and restrictions apply to each area. Much of this is described in the website pages while additional information is available from the appropriate offices.

Mayville Limestone School Musem
The building is owned by Mayville Limestone School Museum, Inc. a non-profit organization created in 1982 for the purpose of assisting and coordinating the restoration, preservation, maintenance, and public use of the old ?White Limestone School? building in Mayville, Wisconsin.
Hollenstein Wagon & Carriage Factory Museum
The buildings which are now occupied by the Mayville Historical Society Museum were built by John J. Hollenstein, Sr. as his home and Wagon and Carriage Factory.

Festivals
Audubon Days
Join us for this historic annual family festival celebrating the return of the Canada Geese. The festival includes a variety of music and bands, dancing, the Taste of Our Town food tent, comedy show, nature events, bike/walk/run, duathlon, arts & craft show, duck race, car show, and lots of other activities for both kids and adults. Come join us. You will have a great time.
